Game Art Design Exercise I
The purpose of this exercise is to give you practice making an object in Blender. On Thursday we'll go over how to export a Blender object into a form we can use in Torque.
- Make an object in Blender that might be useful in a game. For this exercise, keep the object simple (low polygon count). You can color the polygons, but do not use any textures.
- Add the necessary pieces to export the object to a Torque dts file.
- Following the outline of the getting started tutorial for Torque, make a simple landscape and put one or more copies of your object in it.
Make a wiki page with screen shots or rendered images of your object from several points of view. Include at least one image of your object within the game engine. Describe what methods you used to make the object.
Attach your dts file to your wiki page.
