Fall 2021Lab 7: CPU Design
The purpose of this lab is to go over the CPU design you will implement for the project.
Take a look at the CPU design document, which itself links to 2 movies and one additional document. Try writing a program that moves the number 0x00FF into register A, moves the number 0x0001 into register B, and then adds register A to register B and puts the result in register C.
(Note, the two characters 0x are often used to denote a hexadecimal number in programming languages.)
Ask questions about the design.
When you feel you understand the design, go ahead and get started on the current project.
