Course Description

This course will put students in the thick of modern algorithmic game theory. Students will be exposed to a variety of open problems in the field and the currently known results. In particular, students will engage in a semester-long research project with a particular focus on a problem of their choice.

My personal goal for each student is to make them an authority of one particular problem of their choice: they will know its history up to present, will know the techniques having been used for combating it in and out. As a result, each student's experience in this course can look quite different.

Policy on Collaboration and Academic Integrity

Everyone in this class is encouraged to collaborate with your peers. The only requirement is that every student writes up and submits their solutions to exercises separately.

Your professor reserves the right to ask students to verbally explain the reasoning behind any answer or code that they submit and to modify grades based on the answers. It is vitally important that you turn in work that is your own! Reports of academic dishonesty are handled by an academic review board and a finding of academic dishonesty may result in significant sanctions.
